Garrett Zecker is a writer, actor, and teacher of writing and literature. This website serves as a professional blog and bibliography of published work. You will find everything from book and movie reviews, to writing exercises, to notifications of events and new releases.

Garrett holds a BS and MA in English Literature from Fitchburg State University and an MFA in Fiction at Southern New Hampshire University’s Mountainview MFA. He has studied under Bill Keough, Michael Hoberman, Tony Tulathimutte, Benjamin Nugent, Uwem Akpan, Wiley Cash, Robin Wasserman, Craig Childs, and Mitch Wieland.

He is the founder of Perpetual Imagination, a publishing, public relations, and live events company providing quality literary and theatrical experiences in the northeast United States (and worldwide in print and online) since 2004. He co-founded the Quabbin Quills with Steve Piscitello in 2017. Quabbin Quills is a nonprofit, free writer’s workshop in Central and Western Massachusetts that publishes one book a year and provides scholarships to graduating high school participants from the area.

Garrett served on the board of directors of Actors’ Circle Theatre, and provides Perpetual Imagination’s marketing and PR support to their mission of providing quality theater to New Hampshire’s Monadnock Region. Garrett’s performances in their Shakespeare in the Park productions are available to watch for free online in their entirety, and has performed in many live and filmed productions since 1989.
